What we collect
- Your account. Your email address, your name if you give it, and how you signed in.
- What you give us. Links, briefs, uploads such as screenshots, recordings, logos and music, and the films and edits you make.
- What we capture from the link. When you paste a link we open that public page and keep its text, colours, fonts, logo and screenshots. If you tick the recording box we also keep a short walkthrough video of the page. We hide cookie and chat banners; we never accept them or sign in on your behalf.
- Basic usage. Logs such as request times, errors and which features are used, so we can keep the service running and fix what breaks.
Why we use it
To make and store your films, to keep your brand kit so the next film for the same site is faster, to keep your account secure, and to answer you when you write. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who helps us
We rely on a few providers to run Cineary: hosting, file storage, rendering, email and AI model providers that write the words and pick the scenes for your film. They process data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Your films and uploads stay until you delete them or close your account. Brand kits are refreshed when they are older than seven days or when you ask for a fresh pull. Logs are kept for a limited time.
Your choices
You can delete films and uploads in the app at any time. To get a copy of your data, correct it or close your account, write to hi@cineary.com and we will act on it.
